Will Donato is one of music’s most dynamic performers, gifted with the ability to bond and connect with his audiences. His latest radio single “GOOD ON YOU” was a Billboard #1 hit in Winter 2022. A previous single release “INFINITE SOUL” (January 2019) has over 3.5 MILLION streams to date on Spotify alone and reached the coveted #1 spot on the Billboard smooth jazz airplay chart in 2019. A cancer survivor who truly celebrates each day and each person he meets, Will has headlined or shared the stage as a special guest at the Blue Note in New York City, The Seabreeze Jazz Festival, The Algarve Groove International Jazz Festival in Portugal, The Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, Humphrey’s By The Bay, The Capital Jazz Cruise, and Rick Braun’s New Year’s Eve. Will has performed with some of the best known musicians of the groove / smooth jazz genre, namely Al McKay of Earth Wind and Fire, Richard Elliot, Bruce Conte of Tower of Power, Steve Reid of The Rippingtons, Brian Simpson, Steve Oliver, Gregg Karukas and Nick Colionne. He has worked in the pop music genre as well – most notably with Gerald Levert, Wynonna Judd, Toni Childs, and superstar Richard Marx. *After his family finally settled in Michigan, as a young boy, Yandall fell in love with the progressive styles of Jimi Hendrix, Yes, Steely Dan, and George Benson. Attending a concert of Jeff Lorber as a young musician, was a life-changing moment and steered his vision towards jazz music. At thirteen years old, performed at nightclubs all over Michigan. Adult bars and venues. Yandall would learn to unite the heart of jazz with the flavors of rock and R&B. A summer music program in Boston & New York and attending Central Michigan University would help the guitarist to focus his talents on a jazz-funk approach. Movies and TV credits: “Run” “Fruitvale Station”, “War, Inc.” and TV shows such as “Young Sheldon” “Speechless” “New Girl” “Girls” “Shameless” “Raising Hope” “Impulse” and many more! Session guitarwork Kevin Flournoy, Darryl Walker, Will Donato, Under the Lake, Nathan Brown, Rocco Ventrella, Jarez, and many more recording artists. He’s appeared nationally in scores of major jazz festivals and contemporary jazz venues. PBS aired a special on Patrick and his music that was aired in the Midwest. His commercially released projects have charted on Billboard, and the last 4 have been in Grammy consideration in the “Contemporary Instrumental” category. *His focus has always been to create more music and improve as a guitarist, composer, producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist.
