An accomplished musician who has been performing professionally for over 25 years, Taryn has an incredibly commanding performance style….each live performance is exciting and spontaneous. Her piano playing is tenacious and purposeful, while her voice is smooth, sultry, and unique to her. Taryn lights up the stage every
time she plays.

Currently, Taryn has been performing as a duo with a drummer… Fresh, unique and exciting the two play anything from 60’s soul jazz, funk, jump/swing, Latin, and their own term of beatnik blues taking the listener on a musical adventure. With an unwavering left hand, a right hand that weaves in and out effortlessly, and a backbeat as solid as a rock, theDuo has a sound larger than life.
Each performance is different from the last, capturing the moods of the players. The two are not bound by rules, but instead have a desire to express their own musical voice and deliver something captivating.

“I look forward to creating something unique each time I play.”- Taryn

An evening of original blues and roots music by the Nathan James trio featuring special guest from Barcelona Spain, Victor Puertas on Hammond organ, harmonica and vocals.

Nathan James is a well known and respected roots and blues guitarist/vocalist and songwriter based in the San Jacinto Mountains, CA. He immersed himself in the blues as a teenager and joined blues legend James Harman’s band by the age of 19. With Harman, he toured all over the USA learning and playing the blues right where it came from before starting his own solo career.  Nathan quickly fell in love with all of the traditions of roots American music and has done his homework in styles ranging from pre-war rural piedmont and delta blues, to big city rhythm & blues to soul and country. Nathan’s original sound is a mix of all of these styles and much more. When he’s not leading his own band or performing solo, Nathan often backs up harmonica legends Kim Wilson and Rod Piazza among others.

No stranger to backing up blues harmonica, in 2013 Nathan recorded on the Grammy nominated live recording ‘A Tribute to Little Walter’ playing behind Charlie Musselwhite, Billy Boy Arnold, James Harman, Sugar Ray Norcia and Mark Hummel. He has also recorded with the great Kim Wilson on his October 2017 release ‘Boogie and Blues Vol 1.’, and another Kim Wilson album to be released in Fall of 2025. In 2007 alongside vocalist/harmonica player Ben Hernandez, they won the international blues challenge in Memphis, TN and went on to perform at the Taipei Blues Festival in Taiwan.

Nathan regularly tours the USA, Canada, Europe and South America playing his original roots and blues music. Considering himself a songwriter first and foremost, Nathan has released 11 albums under his own name featuring mostly original material. Nathan can hold his own performing solo, with his band, or backing up just about anybody on stage or in the studio.

Victor Puertas from Barcelona Spain is one of the highest in demand blues musicians in Europe. A multi instrumentalist on Hammond organ, piano, harmonica, vocals, and sometimes seen on uke bass or guitar. When not fronting one of his many own bands, he is often playing in a duo with his brother Santos called the Suitcase Brothers with whom he won second place at the international blues challenge in Memphis. Endorsed by Hohner harmonicas, Victor often gives masterclasses all over Europe for the instrument.

Nathan and Victor met in 2011 while both were playing at the Barcelona Blues fest and instantly found a connection with the music they love in traditional blues. Victor will be in California for a Fall tour based around the illustrious Redwood Music Festival in Eureka.

Her journey has led her to main stages at major transformational festivals across California, Arizona, Oregon, Ohio, Hawai’i, Missouri, Illinois, New Mexico, and Florida, sharing stages with visionary artists such as Tribal Seeds, The Movement, Steel Pulse, The Elovators, Kabaka Pyramid, EN Young, Rising Appalachia, Satsang, Alborosie, Porangui, Mike Love, Cas Haley, Indubious, Wookiefoot, Natalie Rize, Yaima, Ayla Nereo, and many others.

Parker Barrow’s new single ‘Make It’ announces itself with some very loud guitars, and once you’ve adjusted your lugholes, you’ll begin to notice that your hips are already a shaking to the decidedly Zeppelin honey-dipped swagger that has since ensued. It doesn’t take the accompanying video for you to realize singer Megan Kane’s is gonna melt your heart with her impressive rock ‘n soul holler, especially over the female backing vocal assisted speedier wanton choruses that repeat licentiously. Put on repeat.

The Detroit Underground  was established in 1994, and still has several of its original members. Over the years the band has earned the reputation for being a hard working, high energy, show band. The group features a very solid and funky rhythm section. These four seasoned players provide a solid foundation for the band’s “smokin” horns.

Topping it off are California’s best male and female lead vocalists. These two high-powered singers will light up the stage, and leave you singing their songs long after you leave the show.

This powerful combination of dedicated musicians gives the band the ability to crank out tunes from artists such as EARTH, WIND, and FIRE, CHAKA KAHN,and STEVIE WONDER. We also play great motown hits and heart-felt ballads.

The Detroit Underground is not just another nightclub act, but a complete musical experience

ABOUT ALASTAIR GREENE – 2024 PRESS RELEASE

Guitar virtuoso Alastair Greene has artfully managed a dynamic solo career while contributing to the music of notable artists such as Grammy-winner Alan Parsons and soul blues Grammy nominee Sugaray Rayford. Greene’s latest release, STANDING OUT LOUD, is a commanding declaration poised to solidify his position as a seasoned veteran in the blues rock world.

With STANDING OUT LOUD (his 11th solo record), Greene set out to create an honest, no-nonsense record that recalls the spirit of his favorite music from the 1960’s and 70’s. For that purpose, he headed to Nashville in January 2024, knocking out eight of the album’s eleven songs. His partner in this endeavor was Nashville stalwart JD Simo, who co-produced with Greene and engineered the tracks in his own House of Grease studio.

With a strong batch of original songs rooted in blues and southern rock traditions, STANDING OUT LOUD builds upon the momentum created by his critically acclaimed solo releases of recent years. “Teaming up with Ruf Records for this album feels like a natural and perfect fit for the progression of my career,” says the California native and multi-charting Billboard artist that Blues Music Magazine called “a major talent in the blues-rock category.”

With the album complete, Greene is itching to hit the road. His 2024 tour schedule will include festival and club dates across the U.S. and over 40 European dates. “I’ve toured Europe many times as the guitarist with the Alan Parsons Live Project, and I’m excited to be bringing my music to the people.”

ALASTAIR GREENE – 2024 BIO

A native of Santa Barbara,California and now residing in Austin, Texas Alastair Greene has ridden his Blues-soaked rock into the 21st century, traversing a constantly changing global (and musical) landscape. He’s well-equipped for the challenge, carrying the diverse musical interests he developed at an early age, intrigued by his mother’s piano-playing and a record collection that included The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and Elton John. His father introduced the youngster to the sophistication of Bach and Beethoven, yet it was Greene’s grandfather, the late trumpeter Chico Alvarez- a member of the Stan Kenton Band in the 1940s and ’50s- who inspired him to pursue a life in music.

As a youth, he took piano lessons and played the saxophone before discovering the guitar in high school. 1980s heavy rock icons Van Halen and Iron Maiden brought motivational thunder. Then, a vintage and seminal sound- the Blues- changed Greene’s course. Records by B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, The Allman Brothers Band, and Stevie Ray Vaughan exposed the burgeoning guitarist to a trove of musical treasure.

He received a scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied for two years, before returning in the early ‘90s to Southern California. Greene formed the Alastair Greene Band in 1997 and subsequently released eight solo albums (including two live sets and a compilation record) over nearly 20 years. 2017’s studio effort, Dream Team, landed a four-star review and Best Album of the Year nod in DownBeat; 2018’s Live from the 805 was nominated for Rock Blues Album of the Year by Blues Blast Magazine, garnering inclusion on many ‘Best of 2018’ lists.

A much in-demand guitarist and vocalist, Greene traveled the world, touring with the legendary Alan Parsons Live Project from 2010 – 2017, as well as stints with Starship featuring Mickey Thomas and, most recently, (2018-2019) Blues Music Award-winner Sugaray Rayford. His work with Parsons, in particular, sparked a conversation with renowned multi-instrumentalist and producer Tab Benoit at a Las Vegas blues festival. In 2019, Greene signed with Benoit’s Whiskey Bayou Records label and released 2 records, “The New World Blues’ (2020) and “Alive In The New World” (2023). Greene toured the U.S. consistently in 2021 and 2022 opening over 100 shows for Benoit.

After running into Thomas Ruf on a tour of Germany in 2022 opening for Walter Trout Alastair signed signed with Ruf Records and released Standing Out Loud in May of 2024. Standing Out Loud was produced by Greene. 8 of the albums 11 tracks were recorded in Nashville, TN with JD Simo and the remaining 3 songs were recorded in Greene’s adopted hometown of Austin, TX with Hunter St.Marie.

Featuring funky, swampy grooves and flights of muscular guitar, Greene delivers rock and blues stirred by touchstones such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, yet perhaps most often guided by the roadmap of Gov’t Mule and that band’s synthesis of The Allman Brothers Band’s improvisational firepower and the raw, stripped-down electric Blues-rock of Cream.

Billboard Top 10 Blues Artist, 2020 IBC Winner, and JUNO Nominee, Canadian singer/guitarist JW-Jones is known for his high-energy shows!

After winning “Best Guitarist” at the 2020 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Jones started working on his 12th release ‘Everything Now’ [May 26, 2023], an all-original project with special guest Jimmie Vaughan, and production by Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar).

“Songs! It’s all about the songs!” said the JUNO-nominated Jones, whose searing axemanship has been praised in recent years by legendary blues artists Buddy Guy and Chuck Leavell (The Rolling Stones). “While there are plenty of burning lead guitar solos, I wanted to open up and get more personal than ever with the lyrics. From the true story ‘Papa’s in the Pen’ to ‘When You Left’ that I sang with tears rolling down my cheeks about my mother’s passing, these are stories that I feel like I can finally share through my music.”

The frequent resident of Billboard’s Top 10 Blues charts and roots radio favourite continues to accelerate his career momentum to new heights, whether it’s as a personally requested sit-in with the likes of 8-time Grammy winner Buddy Guy, opening for blues-rock icon George Thorogood, or entertaining thrilled audiences in 23 countries and four continents.
